Purpose:
EOOC is committed to providing high-quality events and retreats for EO members. These events are carefully planned and executed with significant investment to ensure maximum value for attendees. However, no-shows significantly impact the effectiveness of our events and the resources invested. Therefore, this policy is established to minimize the occurrence of no-shows and to ensure that the value of our events is fully utilized.
Policy:
- Definition of No-Show:
- A "no-show" is defined as a registered participant who fails to attend an event or retreat without prior cancellation or notification to the organization.
- Cancellation Procedure:
- Participants are required to provide advance notice of their inability to attend an event or retreat.
- Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours prior to the event date to avoid penalties.
- Cancellation notices should be sent via email to Jessica Raczka ([email protected])
- Penalties for No-Shows:
- For regular events: A fee of $100 will be charged to participants who fail to attend without prior cancellation.
- For retreats: A fee of $1,000 will be charged to participants who fail to attend without prior cancellation.
- You will not be permitted to attend future EO events until you have paid your outstanding fine.
- Waiver Considerations:
- Exceptions to the no-show fee may be considered in extenuating circumstances such as medical or unforeseen emergencies. Participants must provide appropriate documentation to support their waiver request.
- The decision to waive the fee will be made at the organization's discretion.
- Repeat Offenses:
- Participants who repeatedly fail to attend events without prior cancellation may face additional consequences, including suspension or restriction from future events.
- Communication and Awareness:
- This policy will be communicated to all participants during event registration.
- Participants will be reminded of this policy in event confirmation emails and other relevant communications.
